  • Cognio, Gaithersburg, MD
    Reference manuals for hardware and software related to Intelligent Spectrum Management (ISM) technology.  ISM is a set of electronic chips, chip specifications, and associated software code for use in wireless computer (802.11) network technology.  The documentation included detailed discussion of electronic subsystems, chip specs, software interfaces to access low-level data streams with RF spectrum data, and higher level GUIs.
  • Capitol Advantage, Fairfax, VA
    Online help for CapWiz, a Web-based application which enables Capitol Advantage's client organizations to embed—within their own Web sites—an advanced GUI for issue advocacy and public lobbying. Populating the public Web site with data—issue alerts, messages, e-mails to be sent to public figures—requires a backend administrative system. The help system documents the administrative side of the application.
  • Acterna, Germantown, MD
    Printed and online documentation for AirAudit, a system used to monitor cell phone networks.  Remote Control Chapter for the FIREBERD 4000 Reference Manual;  the FIREBERD 4000 measures the performance of digital communications networks.  Mechanical installation instructions for ferrite cores, used to shield various testing devices from generating magnetic fields.
  • Visual Networks, Rockville, MD
    Online help and user’s guide for Visual UpTime VPN software, which monitors performance factors in IP networks.
  • Manugistics, Rockville, MD
    Functional specifications, system administrators’ reference manuals, and online help for commercial software called Trucks.  Trucks routes and schedules trucks for delivery of goods in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
  • U.S. Web/CKS, Bethesda, MD
    Online help / user’s guide for Online Media Room, a web-based multimedia app.
  • ACS Government Solutions (formerly CDSI), Rockville, MD
    Documentation for network maintenance procedures for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Also documented database systems.
  • CIENA Inc., Columbia, MD
    Printed and online documentation (coded in HTML) for WaveWatcher, software which monitors the performance of switching nodes and amplifiers in an ultrahigh bandwidth fiber optic communications network.  Also documentation of internal business procedures for purposes of ISO-9000 certification.
  • OPNET (formerly MIL 3, Inc.), Bethesda, MD
    Writing and illustration for the OPNET Tool Operations Manual.  OPNET simulates the behavior of communications networks.
  • NPRI, Alexandria, VA
    Users guides/technical reference manuals for TAC, the Telephone Autodialer Control program.  Documentation for a custom programming language, SCRIPTS.
  • PayAmerica, McLean, VA
    Authored the printed documentation and online help for LIBERTY, a sophisticated payroll and human resources program.
  • Managed Care Options, Inc., Bethesda, MD
    Wrote and designed the FeeMaker User's Guide.  FeeMaker is a program which helps medical insurers, HMOs, and PPOs calculate reasonable fees for doctors' services.
  • National Association of Securities Dealers (NASDAQ), Rockville, MD
    Wrote five user’s guides and on-line documentation for PROCTOR, a multi-user, UNIX-based test administration system.
